Concert Band MPA (Music Performance Assessment) is an annual event where secondary school concert bands perform for expert adjudicators who evaluate their performance based on specific criteria, providing feedback for growth and a competitive goal for musicians and directors.
Hosted by organizations like the Florida Bandmasters Association, MPAs offer opportunities for bands to receive quality feedback, showcase their musical abilities, hear other ensembles, and work towards state or district-level recognition.
This event is open to the public and is FREE. An audience is encouraged if you are able to come watch the performance. Parents are permitted to follow the band to the sight-reading assessment that will take place after the stage performance is completed. No cell phones are allowed in the sight-reading room.
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) reflects our school's commitment to honoring God through scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. This organization helps middle school students grow in wisdom, responsibility, and integrity as they develop the skills needed to become servant leaders in high school and beyond.
Spring Break is a mid-semester time of test and renewal, offering students and families an opportunity to refresh, reflect, and enjoy God's blessings together.
In 2026, Spring Break will be observed from March 23-27. Many families use this time for travel, beach trips, family activities, or serving others in the community. Dates may vary by school district.
This special week is dedicated to celebrating and honoring our teachers for their dedication, service, and the God-given gifts they share with our students each day. Parent Connect will be reaching out to families with any additional items needed to complete the plans for each day of appreciation.
Funds raised through prior Parent Connect school Fundraisers will be used to make this week extra special for our teachers.
The Thespian Improv Night is a special performance featuring our Thespian Troupe, where each student shares the gifts God has given them through drama and storytelling. This performance serves as preparation for the Thespian State Festival scheduled for March 17 - 22.
During the preview, we will be accepting donations, and a fundraiser with cookies and drinks will be available at intermission. This event will take place if we qualify for the State Festival.
We warmly invite family and friends to join us in celebrating the dedication, creativity, and talents of our students as they honor God through their performances. More details will be shared as the event approaches.
